As with their book Queer: A Graphic History, they could have used the graphic novel medium better. That said the basic overview was good. I did skim parts for just being too wordy.

I think this is a very good book to read if your new to questioning  gender and things surrounding it, but it is quite simplified and on a ‘beginners’ level so if the concept isn’t new to you I suggest you find another book to deepen your understanding. It’s a great start, but don’t stop here!
