I was excited to read this because I loved Gone Girl but this book really dragged for me. All the characters are kind of depressing and none of them really engaged me. I probably would have DNF if the answer to the mystery wasn’t in the last 15 pages. Not quite thrillery enough for me, just kind of sad

Really enjoyed this. Loved it so much that I ordered the physical book before I even finished the audiobook, knowing I'd want to read it after.

A tighter and more thrilling plot than Gone Girl and less disturbing than Sharp Objects, but the ending did not live up to the rest of the book.
