This was another crossover from last year, I’m currently reading this series with my youngest host kid and we are both loving it. These books are just so cosy and charming to read and I loved getting to see Anne’s adventures in college through this one. As usual we are introduced to a host of new quirky characters that I loved. These stories never fail to leave a smile on my face. I have this 4 stars.

I feel similarly to this one as I did Anne of Avonlea. It was nice, not amazing, and not as high in my regard as the first one, but I also didn't expect it to be. It was fine for what it wanted to be. I didn't dislike any particular part (except at one point there was a black servant who talked weirdly that just made me uncomfortable but it was only there for a hot second) but there were some boring chapters here and there. I do ship Anne and Gilbert a lot they have great chemistry though the way their relationship was executed here was just alright. Yeah I didn't care for the denial of feelings, him not talking to her, and the love triangle, but at the end I did get invested in it the way I get invested in most wholesome yearning.

Can I just say this book has weird pacing? Most slice-of-life do but I really don't understand how it was decided what parts of her life would happen in what order. It wasn't bad or anything, just weird. Like they spend a while on their first two years but their last is like only a little while? And you never actually meet any professor? Again, this isn't a compliant, I just found it peculiar. Is all slice-of-life like this or just this?

Loved all of Anne's friends! They're cute together and there should have been more :)

Anyway that's all I gotta say for now good series to read in the background while I'm stressed.

This is the Anne book I return to the most. Anne and some of her friends are off to Redmond College, and they learn about more than just the lessons taught in the classroom! Patty's Place feels so homelike and this is the first book with cats.
