This was cute, and filled with moments that had me slapping my hand over my mouth to not laugh out loud like a crazy person. Though there were parts that made me wince, all revolving around Livia.

Here's the deal: having a heroine that is 29, lamenting that 30 = death, is just stupid. It's fine for her to be dramatic about turning 30 - most people are - but this was a continuous running theme. That her life was about to be over and omgomgomg-angst-wail-drama. It was way too much, and was tedious. And there were other parts of Livia that I struggled with.
SpoilerI'd like to have some reason for her "I'm done with men" or "I'm petrified of death" ... she took these issues way way outside the norm, but we never got any reason or justification for it.

Chase, though, was amazing. And his POV was amazing, because he's the player that was trying to convince himself that this was just another fling... as we watched his POV slide into more than a fling. It was incredibly gratifying.

But their relationship was super uneven to me.
SpoilerIt was always Chase giving, on everything, on every level, while Livia just had her rules and demands and lines in the sand. Chase more than earned his HEA, more than earned Livia's love. But Livia never does anything to earn Chase. She rejects him again and again, hurts him and is honestly selfish... but he just keeps coming back, and there's never ... it just doesn't feel like she does anything to give a little, too.

This may make it seem like I don't like Livia, but that's not true - I liked her. But there were parts where I wanted to shake her. And I wanted her to work for this too.

I'll give it ***3.5***

This almost brought me into a reading slump but I didn't wanna DNF. Maybe it was the writing that threw me off or something because it did take 3 days for me to finish this one and it's relatively short so that's kinda sucky but overall I liked the story of a sexy cop and a sexy librarian getting together. I love babies in romance books so it was a definite nice surprise for me

What starts out as a guilty pleasure fast becomes ...more!

Sierra Simone and Laurelin Paige create a naughty tale that keeps you interested, hot, and needy.

It starts with a Hot Cop and ends with an even hotter cop. How do you make a Hot Cop even more attractive....? Read on, even you would have to agree.

It's sexy, sweet, and may force a tear... (no judging).

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby . . . Wait. Nope. Not for Livia (Liv) Ward. She's sworn off men and has no interest in a relationship. But quickly approaching 30 years old (aka death to the overly dramatic) Livia still knows one thing she wants for certain: a baby.

Enter hop cop Officer Chase Kelly. Known for his Kelly trio (dinner, drinks and handcuffs) Chase has no interest in a serious relationship.

From the moment she lays eyes on him, Liv is twitterpatted over Officer Kelly. And she thinks he just might be the perfect man for some no-strings attached baby making. Only complications:
Chase is Livia's friend and co-worker Megan's brother. And the more neighborhood hot cop and sexy librarian play hide the nightstick, the more feelings they start to catch for one another.

Hot Cop is a sexy romp with great tension, touches of drama, and a surprise or two in store for readers. Be sure to sign up for the author's newsletters for a bonus wedding night scene!

This isn't a book for me. That's not to say it isn't good, but the subject matter isn't my cup of tea...

I wasn’t prepared for this book to be so entertaining, but man did I enjoy it. Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone show they are an impressive pair in this amusing romance that is both enticingly erotic and delectably sweet at the same time.

I’ve read lots of books featuring hot doctors and hot lawyers, but a hot cop is pretty fresh terrain for me. I can’t think of a better way to make me a fan of men in blue than Officer Chase Kelly, the ultimate über hawt cop. Based on the blurb, I expected him to have an annoying level of cockiness and cheesiness, but I was pleasantly surprised. He’s a confident manwhore for sure, but he’s respectful, responsible, and a really compassionate cop. Add in his supremely nurturing nature and affinity for kids, and he’s a walking ovaries detonator.

Livia Ward is a beautiful librarian with an unfulfilled life and a heart guarded against relationships with men. Chase is so patient and understanding with her, and it’s fun seeing how his seductive but humorous flirtation helps break down her walls. The playful and caring friendship they develop despite their strictly “business” arrangement is the cherry on top of X-rated bedroom—and shower and stairwell and parking lot and rest room and library stacks, etc.—activities that are an erotica lover’s dream.

Erotica is often serious, suspenseful, or dark—and that’s perfectly fine. Sometimes it’s nice to switch it up though and read a lighthearted story that makes you laugh while also indulging your naughty side. This book falls into the latter category. There’s absolutely nothing deep about the story, so if that’s what you want you should look elsewhere. There are no great plot twists or complex characters. It’s just pure fun delivered in a particularly entertaining and sexy way.

Hot Cop is by far one of the steamiest books I’ve read this year, but it had me smiling and swooning throughout.
