A beautiful retelling of the Trojan War from the women's experiences, the heroic actions of those who didn't fight on the battlefield, but were heroes just the same. I enjoyed Madeline Miller's Circe better than Haynes', but a great read.

I really love this author’s style of taking on a character and acting as narrator. This book is from the perspective of so many women associated with the Trojan war. The timelines jump around a bit, allowing the reader to hear the main story, and then understand how these events were sent into motion. The structure was sometimes hard to follow. Listening to the audiobook narrated by the author herself is a special kind of treat. I can’t wait to read the rest!

Pretty good as far as the Greek retellings go. This is written non-chronologically and without much exposition, so if you aren't familiar with the characters and stories it would be challenging to follow.
