A thrilling follow on to twisted tree that I adored. It was so we'll done and so enticing that I read it in one sitting and couldn't put it down. It's a phenomenal growth for our main character Martha and also dives into her gifts more while unraveling more Norse legends. Great read!

I enjoyed it.. it was too easy to read! And the ending?? Can you give me the next book now? What do you mean there’s no next book yet? So why did you ended it in such away? Why are you robbing me from my perfect read? Huh???

so many new characters but almost none of them were fleshed out. the plot was kinda interesting but as a characters-over-plot person, it failed to keep me engaged or interested.

After some delay, I have now finished the sequel to "The Twisted Tree" I have to say I think have enjoyed this one a little more than the first.
Set at a Traveling circus that performs the tales of Norse Mythology, with a murder to solve mixed with even more twisted magic. Sign me up.
I was quick to pick up the reminder of Martha letting go of the rope in the first book. Then the second the jester showed up I knew it was Loki. There were twists and turns, that made you really not know who to trust unless you read between the lines. But everyone had a backstory and was more than what they seemed. The descriptions of the performances sounded amazing and felt magical.
The book has a bit of an open ending for a third book, but who knows. I know I'll be picking up more books by Rachel Burge in the future.

Another great read! I hope another book will be on the horizon.

Perfect read for horror and Norse mythology readers.
