Yes, that is right.... I read this book in one day. I loved it!! I've known someone who was in an abusive relationship. I could never understand why she went back to him. After reading this, as well as the author's acknowledgements, helped me get it. I highly recommend reading this book.

I do not understand the hate this book receives. I think this book is just fine and of course it’s not a romance genre. Maybe Tiktok somehow ruined it and people think it is a romance book. Call me typical but I really like it and I am currently reading It Starts with Us :)
Unpopular opinion time: I didn't enjoy this at all.
I think it's 100% mis-marketed as a romance novel, I thought the writing was VERY average, and that the major plot point was a tad mismanaged and heavy-handed. (And the characters? Really?? The female characters were okay, but I found the male characters to be lacking in personality, or with a personality so awful I couldn't understand why anyone wanted to be around them...)
I do know that this is an incredibly unpopular opinion, but I honestly cannot see what all the hype was about.

Okay so upon further consideration and with all the talk of the sequel and the movie adaptation i feel like this book wasn’t what i remembered it to be, it was great don’t get me wrong but like i said last time this book shouldn’t be labeled a romance and the fact that lily and atlas was pushed onto us so quickly after her relationship with ryle rubs me the wrong way.
Previous Review: Five stars might seem like an exaggeration but if you aren’t solely looking at the book from a ‘romance’ standpoint then it’s definitely five stars. 3 1/2 stars for the romance (by itself) but the overall story and characters make it five stars. Not to mention the amazing ending. I loved that this was also my first colleen hoover book and i can’t wait to read more from her.
