Probably the worst play i ever read, not my type: the personnalities of the characters are very anoying (but this is what is supposed to be funny)

„Rzecz dzieje się w Polsce, to znaczy nigdzie”.

Absurdalna historia w świetnym tłumaczeniu Tadeusza Boya-Żeleńskiego.

I have no idea what that was...

I can see how it might be seen as clever and linking to absurd art movements at the time but it is not an enjoyable read... MEH

Excellent intro and middle sections, very weak ending. Exceptionally funny for a play and great for its critique both of theater cliches (saying "I'm dying" as you die) as well as the entire feudal hierarchy. Well worth the read, because it's a quick one. Could have used a much higher-impact/ridiculous ending, instead of the soft, open-ended one we got.

Yay, ich benutze einfach ganz viel Vulgärsprache und schon bin ich innovativ und fortschrittlich!

I made the mistake earlier of trying to read this too closely. The illustrations in this edition were beautifully bizarre, and something might be said of Ubu Roi being the first deep fried meme, or more relevant than ever considering our political climate. But it’s also super dumb. Maybe worth a skim.
