I love this series so much. There’s so much action it really keeps entertained and on your toes. Definitely gives you a whirlwind of emotions from beginning to end. I can’t wait until the third book is released.

CWs: Gun violence, violence, blood, sexual scenes, kidnapping, death, murder, and death of a loved one.
Mention of: rape, cheating, toxic relationships, captivity, and child abuse.

So...I still like the overall idea of this series but I found issue with some of the "out of character" things that happened. If you've hated someone/something you're entire life...it takes more than one person saying, "hey it's not that bad," for someone to forgive and forget. Lets be serious...

Since I read the first 2 back to back and I'm a little annoyed 😅 I'm gonna take a little break before I read the other books. I genuinely want to see where the story goes...I just need a break.

pros and cons

This book is well written, with a great pace, and I like the characters. The insta-love is so cringy though. Horribly, horribly cringe-worthy.

Usually I can write a solid few paragraphs on what I’ve just read, but Lost Girl was just, yeah. . .

I always feel awful leaving a negative review when I’ve read a book because I understand the dedication and the hard work and effort that authors put in their works that are incredibly personal to them, but Lost Girl just wasn’t it for me.

The writing just did not contain the depth to engage me, things seemed to resolve and tie incredibly neatly together and half the time there was just question marks in my mind about what I was reading. This may be for other readers, but, it just wasn’t for me and I’m not going to be continuing the series.

You can see my less coherent thoughts whilst reading Lost Girl on my highlights and notes. I’m honestly just kind of wondering what I just read at the moment and don’t feel like I can really provide a descriptive review from a book that didn’t really contain much subsistence for me.

On the other hand, I do hope Demi and Sawyer sort themselves out in the last two books!

Holy Cliffhanger!

The beginnings of war; a treacherous adventure through enemy territory; new and interesting characters. I really liked this continuation of the series and it really shows how strong Demi can be.

But that cliffhanger…

A very nice sequel where we find our characters after the end of volume 1 which ended in cliffhanger.

This author manages to hook us from start to finish by offering us a very enjoyable read mixing adventure, love and fantasy.

History is changing and we want to know more.

Here I find that there is an evolution in Demi, she seems more mature, I liked her very much and became very attached to her.
She makes decisions and asserts herself.

Saywer .. aaah Saywer stole my heart .. I fell in love .. how can I not be? This ending broke my heart! And what end? This author is absolutely brilliant with extras ends !
I really recommend this serie .

I really don’t understand all the low reviews? People saying they didn’t understand the plot, what didn’t you understand? It’s simple, Demi had to fight through 3 territories to get home safe all the while she had to battle supernatural beings along the way. After a lonely travel through Troll Village, she finally met Sage and Walsh and they helped her get back. This book was more about the journey, showing her becoming stronger and a bit more badass.

There wasn’t much romance but there wouldn’t be if there was an impending civil war between witches and a larger war with the Fae and vampires. I don’t get why people hated Sawyer so much in this, he was literally showing his weakness and begging for forgiveness from Demi despite his Alpha status. This is HUGE for for an Alpha to do. His instincts mean he just wants to wrap her in bubble wrap and make sure she is safe but she is more powerful than he is (even more so once she learns how to use her powers).

We got confirmation that Demi was from the Alpha bloodline and that she was the sole remaining Alpha of the Paladin wolves. I actually thought she was being a bit of a dick by not even going back to the Paladins to ask what she can do for them when every Paladin she has met has helped her or saved someone she cares about. I’d of gone to them and said I would be Alpha but from Werewolf City and if they needed me I’d go to them. She literally sees her absence is killing them but she just sends them food and blankets? I’d be disappointed too if I were the Paladin wolves. I can not see them just accepting her now she wants to use them to fight the vampires and faes.

Demi should have mentioned that she thinks it was a dark fae mixed race witch who cursed the Hudson family not the Paladins, maybe sawyer and his family would have been more relaxed about the situation? She needed to be more forthcoming because now Sawyer is going mad that she has gone into the wild lands to find the Paladins she basically fobbed off.

I’m excited for the next book but I doubt it will go smoothly.

Their were so many twists and turns in this book it was insane! As always she leaves you with a bit of a cliff hanger and wanting more. Can't wait to see how the Paladins can help.
