I have no idea what I expected when I went into this book. The cover is gorgeous, and I have to admit... It drew me in. The blurb was interesting. So off I go to read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Yesterday when I finished it, I had to sit and think for awhile on what I'd just finished. I've never read something so descriptive. Van Wey has a beautiful style of writing in this book. He describes everything, and it's easy to feel like you're there with the characters.
All in all, I liked it. I just found it weird. Very weird. That's how I would describe this book. Weird.

I've had my eye on Andrew Van Wey's work for a while based on reviews, but for whatever reason the synopsis has never really drew me in. So, I went into this blind and I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It genuinely kept me guessing what the hell was going on and I'm honestly not sure I ever figured it out lmao
Um, I dont even know where to begin. That was a wild story that I cant even begin to explain. The body gore in this book is excellent. The story line is absolutely crazy. At no point while reading this did I know where the story was going. If you like horror then read it. If ya don't then stay away.
I don't even know where to file this. This was an interesting concept that was executed badly. Horror/Gore/SciFi/Crime Thriller - just pick a lane and do it properly.
One of the strangest, weird but also such a good story. Have you ever watched the movie Little Shop of Horrors, you know that horror musical from the 80’s about a store clerk (Seymour) that bought an unusual plant from a chinease store called Audrey II (it’s a carnivore plant) and Seymour has to feed Audrey II with blood?
Well this story is mainly the same plot: Fisherman founds a woman head in his net, the head is still alive and needs his blood to survive and grow. This story will keep you guessing has to how and why until about 60% of the books (yes all your questions will be answered by the end). This story was filled with 90’s nostalgia wich I totally love (god I miss the 90’s).
This was my first experience with this genre (cosmical horror or cosmic horror) and also my first book from this author but definitely won’t be my last.

Absolutely gorgeous cover and awesome story. I really appreciated how the author was able to hold my attention the whole book. There was never a moment where I felt bored or taken out of the story. I did this half on ebook and half audiobook and both were brilliant ways to enjoy this book. If you like cosmic horror that is modern and unique you’ve come to the right place.

Why are the chapters 2 pages long. I couldn’t get into the story with how each chapter was a different POV.
