I love Clementine and felt that this sequel was better than the original. Great for beginning chapter book reders.

I love the moral of the story. Everyone has a talent, they may just not know about it.

My daughter has started reading these, so I figured I'd better check them out. I started with the second because that's what was available. Clementine is a successor to a long line of smart, goofball girls who endlessly get in trouble but are still somehow endearing (Ramona, Junie B. Jones, etc.). Smart, funny, good-hearted with strong family relationships, this is a winner. One mild complaint: Pennypacker doesn't do much summarizing here, so if you pick the books up out of order--as I did--it takes some time to figure out who everyone is because it's never explained.

Haha, so charming! I laughed out loud more than once. Loved the illustrations too, especially the principal. :-)

I love Clementine. Great read-aloud book. Made for an excellent road trip diversion.

Aspires to be a modern-day Ramona Quimby, but - while QUIRKY (and boy if our rascal heroine isn't quirky!) - lacks the realistic child-like qualities and depth that makes the Beverly Cleary character a classic.

I love Clementine. I loved the 1st book & I loved this one. Yes, it's different from the first one but it should be; the protagonist is a year or so older and so are her friends and family. It was funny and warm and I love that Clementine is allowed to be her incredible self by all of the adults in her life. Pennypacker is a very good writer--packs a lot into a small book. And of course Marla Frazee's illustrations are great. I'm a huge fan.
