- ok so it wasn’t a spectacular read but it wasn’t amazing either
- for an OV story, there didn’t seem to be as much focus overall on those kinds of dynamics except for when it came to the FMC’s heat, but other than that the common OV factors didn’t play a huge part in the story at all
- the MMCs also were all basically similar, where it was hard to tell them apart when they all sounded the same and acted the same in most regards
- and there was blood-play which usually for me is :O but here it just was so sudden and unhealthy and lacking consent and there was carving which just. ugh. toxic af to me
- plus the gang sub-plot was annoying to me but that’s my own fault for choosing to read a book with that trope lol
- it was also hard to care as much when her sister was being threatened or when one of the guys’ men died because we barely got to know them, the only characterization was mainly on the FMC, MMCs, and antagonist, which made the whole book have a hollow feel to it
- i did like how the FMC wasn’t a pitiful whiny omega, she had a backbone and stood up for herself often
- the steam scenes were repetitive and lackluster though imo lol
- by the end i was skimming a tiny bit for the last few pages because the book felt like it was wrapped up all of a sudden and the resolution was less than satisfactory
- i don’t regret reading as it was entertaining enough, but i probably could have been reading books i’d enjoy more during that time

The story and writting where really good. Liked the characters.
As mach as i loved the guys, especially Mac, I feel like i could have used more depth from the guys, maybe more about their need, obsession, devotion, ect for jo, I feel like if they are mates or fated mates, meant to be, they should have craved her so badly it hurt, i got a little bit of that but not enough... i wanted to feel their obsession, urges, possession, need.
The book slowed down a bit for me in the second half and picked up again towards the end, i was happy with the little twist at the end which i didnt see coming until it was happening.
The ending tied up fairly quickly, it didnt go down exactly how i would have liked, i feel like she should have had more faith in the guys and they should have worked together as a team. I would have prefered that.
