A 26yo MMC lusting after a just barely 18yo FMC who is incredibly immature is weird AF.

I really enjoyed this book, and loved Brendan. I found his character to be sweet, sexy and endearing. I liked Kaylee's character ok,but found her to be a little annoying at times.
Very insecure and unsure of herself and her abilities,it make some question why a 26 year old man who historically hated commitment would be interested in her,but I digress...some people need to be saviors and he enjoyed taking care of her and being needed. I don't think that took away from the romance and spice of the story.
She and Emma are young FMC's,so that sort of immaturity is to be expected in some senses.
I liked the comedic relief the side characters offered, and look forward to their books.

I have a soft spot for the best friends brother trope, so starting this book was not a hard sell for me. Throw in the kink factor and the slow burn elements in the beginning with the angst of fighting your true feelings and I was completely sold.

Over all this was a solid romance, I just felt like the falling action was rushed. The final conflict was introduced and then like with a snap of your fingers it was done.

This one was enjoyable. I really liked how prominent and realistic the depression played in the story. The push and pull between Brendon and Kaylee was amazing. The chemistry was off the charts and the resistance they tried to keep with was interesting.

I did get exasperated quite a bit though with the length of them fighting their chemistry. I would have enjoyed it more had they had more time to develop a real relationship outside of just the sack.

DNFed it. From what I did read, its giving predator, grooming a young girl that he is meant to become temporary guardian of. She is his little sisters best friend, who just turned 18 and his reaction is that she finally legal! WTF. That is just grooming. Also just because someone turned 18 doesn’t mean its any less creepy especially because he was interested long before then. Yuck.

Kaylee's parents decide to move from California to New Jersey leaving her to live with her best friend Emma and Emma's brother Brendon who is a hot brooding tattoo artist with kinky tastes. Kaylee has had feelings for Brendon for a long time but figured nothing could ever happen and that he wasn't interested in her. All that changes when she sees Brendon's sketchbook and finds dirty pictures he's drawn of her. Now she knows he wants her too despite all the complications.

I loved how sweet Brendon was to Kaylee and vice versa. They were good friends before they became lovers and although both had their issues it was clear they belong together. I also liked how close Kaylee was to her grandmother and felt bad for her when she had to deal with the fact that her grandmother was dying.
My heart broke for Kaylee thinking she was broken because she suffered from depression and sometimes suicidal thoughts but I was relieved when she told Brendon and how he handled that information. The other tattoo artists seem interesting and I can't wait to read more about their stories.

Loved it!!

This is my first book by this author and I plan on reading more books by her if they are anything like this one. Very well written, had me hooked within the first chapter and definitely recommend you this book.
