I received this ARC from NetGalley .
I very much enjoyed this one and I do plan to buy it when it come out so that I can read it again. If you are a fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer tv show you might like this one as much as I did.

Wasn't that into the first arc because it was a whole lot more of "everybody hates Buffy" but Billy the Vampire Slayer won my heart, aw man.

I would give the art an A, the Buffy/Kennedy storyline a B, and the Billy the Vampire Slayer twist at the end an A. Sorry, but I've never been a fan of Kennedy, so I think that's part of why I wasn't as into this one. I was excited to see Wolfram and Hart make an appearance, though, and I'm glad Buffy is still in touch with her Slayer roots. Overall, it was fun; not one of my favorites of the Buffy comics, but fun. I look forward to the next ones.

We're introduced to Billy the VS! Our first queer boy of color slayer.

Buffy the Bodyguard just doesn't have the same ring to it ha. Overall I felt this was a solid addition to Season 9. Truly though it kind of reminded me of that time Anya suggested charging to save lives and everyone just looked at her like she was crazy, now if Kennedy does it it's all good. I guess it does give the potentials something to do... but really they seem just as lost as Buffy in my opinion at the moment.

The season is still meandering a bit but nothing out of the ordinary for a Buffy season. The plot with Kennedy's company was neat although Buffy's rejection seems a bit contrived. The two-parter with Billy the vampire slayer was a fun diversion, but it does have unfortunate implications: slayer are always girls, but he's gay so that's kinda like a girl? Or so it seems to be saying. Would love to heat from members of LGBT on whether the plot device was offensive; even if only mildly so.
