My Heart!!
I loved this one just as much as Dear Enemy. It made my heart pitter patter! The whole book was just sexy!!

A few years ago I didn’t even know sports romance was a thing, and I stumbled on Kristen Callihan’s ‘Game On’ series which was my introduction into the sports romance world! I loved this football series, and I still recommend it to new romance readers!
Emma is a famous actress that is fresh off a bad break up and a professional blow. She finds herself in Southern California. Given her last role Emma is recognizable wherever she goes, and she is needing a break and to separate herself from her friends and the world.
Professional hockey player, Lucian escaped to his Grandmother’s southern Carlifornia estate, Rosemont after an intense head injury that also prompted a break up with his fiancee. Lucian is the ipediomy of a grumpy alpha male, but has a serious soft spot for his family and Grandmother. And how Lucian shows his love to the people he loves….OMG let’s just say I wanted to book a little trip to Rosemont!
Kirsten did an amazing job describing the scene without being too wordy! I loved that I could picture the amazing scenery that Rosemont estate has to offer. Borth Emma and Lucian are in need of time and space to heal after personal setbacks. Both of these characters are so multi faceted and mature. From the start both Emma and Lucian are able to read each other, but in different ways. Each is passionate about those they love and their careers.
The tension between these two set the pages of this book on FIRE! I wanted to shake each of them to get out of their way and JUST be together. And man when it happens it is HOT. But not hot like I was expecting. I had absolutely no struggle to get into this book and was hooked from the start. For me this was a little of a slow burn, but it was totally worth it folks. As for spice, I would give it a two on the spice scale, it isn't a closed door, and there were several hot scenes. But not at all over the top and very well placed! I would recommend this book to anyone that loves slow burns, sports romance, and a little angst thrown in. If you are not sure if you like a lot of steam, then this is a must read for you!
Well done, Kristen! I hope there are more in this series! I need to know what happens with Brommy, Anton, Sal...okay, so pretty much everyone!
If you are in the market for a heartfelt love story with a little angst, amazing cast of characters, then this is the book for you! You will not be disappointed!

I really enjoyed this but not quite as much as I enjoyed Dear Enemy.
⭐⭐⭐.5
this story was so cute!! i enjoyed the characters (not really anton tho), liked the storyline, and LOVED the growth of both emma AND lucian. everything about this made me want more. this is one of the healthiest relationships in a romance novel i've ever seen.
it was mostly slow, plot and romance wise, but that's something ireally liked about this book. emma and lucian had an immediate attraction to each other, but it was nice to see them come of their shells to each other, and become friends first. it made the book sweeter (see what i did there?).
one of the best things about this book i thought was the banter and the nicknames they had it each other. to me, it just made the book seem more real and it made it seem that they just had that strong of a connection to each other. i really liked this book.

This book was SO cute! Lucian and Emma were everything! Lucian was such a grump after having to leave the sport that was his world due to a really bad concussion accident. Emma finds herself out of a job after finding out she was being axed from a popular fantasy tv show and she ends up at the Rosemont estate. Add in a cheating boyfriend that results in a breakup and she's in search of a desperate getaway.
I loved how Emma was just a ray of sunshine and no matter how hard Lucian tried he just couldn't bring himself to leave her alone. The attraction to each other was so apparent and you start to see them slowly give in to it. I love how communicative they were with each other even with the difficult conversations. It made for a healthy relationship between them. They were just so cute! Also, did I mention Lucian's love language is acts of service?? He absolutely loves baking and he did lots of it just for Emma. They had the sweetest nicknames for each other that I just loved! I also loved the Macon and Delilah crumbs! I enjoyed this book so much!

i absolutely adored this. the perfect blend of everything
Make it Sweet had been on my radar for such a long time, but kept getting put on the back burner. I was looking for an audiobook that was going to be a pretty quick read, and I was hoping for something steamy and sweet. Let me tell you this book delivered everything I wanted and more! I love literally everything about this book (except the instalove). I love the premise, I love both MC's and that they were both pretty famous and the side characters (Luc's gramdma was possible my favorite side character) and I really hope some of them get their own stories. This book is full of so many of my favorite troupes like only one bed, forced proximity, mutual pining. This book is a stand alone, however apparently there is a connection to Dear Ememy (which I now need to read).
cute, wholesome. He bakes. She’s very nice. They’re both so communicative about their thoughts and feelings, for the most part. I love that. They’re mature, no misunderstandings. When the mmc is down bad for the fmc>>>>, homie was WHIPPED. It was adorable.
