God, I loved it, it was so good

4 stars! This was a sweet story with likable characters. I normally don't care for pet names but their nicknames were cute. Pretty predictable. I didn't like that we didn't really know anything about Emma. Like she had a bad childhood... No details though. Everytime this is written into books I wonder, do people really recognize hockey players all that often? I mean I would recognize no one. But ok. I think like I said the only thing I didn't love was that Emma was elusive. Did she really only have 1 friend and no family? Still cute and nothing overly annoying.

I thought I liked this while I was reading it, but the more I think about it the less I like it. Emma feels like a set-piece to promote Lucian's healing process; she has all this knowledge about recognizing and dealing with migraines but we don't see her having them herself. Lucian has a full cast of family and friends around him, but Emma's friends mostly exist to prop up Lucian's story (see also the offer made to Lucian at the wedding.) Also I cringed at Emma breaking her NDA multiple times. And some of the sex scenes and language choice in them just.....I dunno. I guess it wasn't for me.

This was so cute and sweet <33 FOR FUCKS SAKE HE LITERALLY BAKES AND COOKS FOR HER

I listened to this book on KU free Audio, it was super cute, and I found myself listening to it more so than when I was driving because i couldn't wait. (I usually only have 1 audio book i'm listening to while driving and only when driving.)
