Emma and Lucian's story hooked me from the start, I liked all the flirt and banter between them. Their chemistry was undeniable, so this enemies to friends and to lovers story had me reading non-stop. These two broken souls find a way to help each other, but I really loved how the author brought some elements like food and double entendre into the story that made it original and refreshing. It was an overall sweet and funny story full of emotions and two characters that you will love.

I enjoyed this book so much, didn’t like that they got together after 200 pages but the teasing and laughing made me get through it, luc was trying to find himself and Emma helped him, I felt bad that it took him so long to go for her but the waiting was worth it, they deserved all the love in the world, it’s not easy to kiss something you passionate about like a sport since it was his whole life but I’m glad he came to terms that his life is first and hockey is after, wished we had more captain Lucian on ice but the story was overall perfect.

Did I think I would enjoy this book? No but I DID. I'm not one to usually go for the sports guy or the famous actor trope but this book seemed different. More of the small town feel and less narcissism. It did feel a bit long and slow at some points but overall it was a feel good romance. I'm. Not usually one for instalove but it must be growing on me ❤️. Lucian was chef's kiss.

Okay not gonna lie the insta-lust threw me off for a second there but I had such a good time reading this! I can definitely relate to Lucian's struggles along with Emma when being in a slump. The character development was so good and the other characters made the whole books even more enjoyable.
