I liked the premise but I think certain things fell flat for me -
1) the FMC blaming the MMC for being there at the wrong place wrong time yet still banging him
2) the MMC for knowing how triggering him showing up lalalalala can be and not even giving the FMC a heads up?

This started off with a very sad premise and evolved into an impossible relationship. It was very steamy in the middle of the story as tension built between the "mismatched" lovers.
I honestly thought this was going to end badly with no HEA but the author came through.
I listened to the audio version of this book via my library's subscription to hoopla. It was very well done with two narrators- female and male for the two characters.

I enjoyed the first 20% of this book because of the writer’s room elements, but after that this book kinda fell off for me. I just think the circumstances from Grant and Helen’s past were just too unrealistic for me to even get past.
