i reeeeaaaally tried to get throught this book but it was just an absolute chore and at no point could i say i was genuinely interested in its story. i made it 66% of the way through before giving up.

Another enjoyable instalment in the series - I don't remember the previous one being as comical as this one. It was a nice blend of horror and comedy that I didn't know I needed. The characters are definitely loveable and complex. The descriptions do a really good job at helping you imagine what's going on, making it extra creepy! 

I liked the idea of the

Moroi but I felt like her story could have been fleshed out a bit more. It came across as though the characters just knew that she needed to be reburied, and when that was done, all was well. I would've liked to know a bit more about her, who she was, why she was buried at the springhouse etc.

Another part I didn't particularly like were the neopronouns - they ruined my reading flow and didn't make much sense to me. I'm still interested in reading the third instalment of the series though, I did enjoy reading this story. :)
