Very dark and tense! The conclusion to this duology took a couple of unexpected turns and we did get to see more of this world which is always fun but I don't feel like the characters really grew or changed much at all even after everything they went through. The plot and all the fae and gods were interesting though!
Beautiful beautiful ending the retelling of Rumplestiltskin. I couldn’t put this one down. I’m not normally a huge fan of retellings as I find them sort of predictable. But this one was fantastic!!! I loved the adventure, the friendships, and love built. It was definitely hard saying goodbye to the characters I felt had become friends
A terrifying and terrific follow up to the first book that had me on the edge of my seat with a cliffhanger so devastating, I didn't know if I could hold on. Cursed was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. I was so hooked listening to Rebecca Soler tell this story and Marissa Meyer created a brilliant but terrifying world with high stakes magic and curses in desperate need to be broken.

I’d say something like 3.5.
I enjoy the plot of this book but man, this series needed trimming. They’re overly long for sure, full of filler and repetition. Always repeating motivations, “I can’t do X because then he’ll Y!” Like, I get it, you have mentioned this twenty times by now.
In any event, it was fine. It felt a little too crowded, and despite such bloat there were a lot unexplained (mainly around the magic), and many characters from the last book completely underutilized. But I’m sure this won’t be the worst book I read this year.

I liked this one more than the first. Carves out more of the story of "Gild".
