This was sweet enough as a quick romance read but our main girl Truly is truly abrasive. You're a 27 successful romance author, grow up and stop meddling and trying to Parent Trap your parents. Colin was a nice enough romantic interest albeit a little too perfect. Both characters flaws just didn't work for me.
This book just feels very white woman feminist with too many Taylor Swift references, but I'm sure for certain people that means it'll be enjoyable, just not me.
The sex scenes were fantastic, very hot, so it gets some points for that.
I hate the cover of this book with a passion but the story was cute
This book was so cute! The characters were complex and relatable. The beginning had me hooked! I was screaming within the first 5 minutes! But let’s be honest: I picked this book up because of the cover! Books everywhere!
Nothing glaringly wrong with this novel. An okay-ish romanace novel. I was shocked every time i was reminded that the mc were a lawyer and a multiple published author. The way they talked and acted was very young. They acted more like 20-23 year olds. Add a parent trap plot and they really felt immatue. Would have been more believe if they were 22 on the the cusp of first love. 3/5 might reccomend.
Thank you NetGalley, HaperCollins and Alexandria Bellefleur for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Truly is having a rough day after walking in on her fiancé in a compromising situation. . Shortly after she is a guest on a popular podcast with Colin and they have chemistry but immediately clash. Romantic vs realist. Colin tracks her down to apologize and Truly gives him and the podcast another chance. As they get to know each other the chemistry is impossible to ignore.
Enjoyed this story and the supporting characters (Lulu and Caitlin) and wished there was more with them in the last 1/4 of the book. The one piece that was a miss for me was the family tradition of speaking in lyrics. It’s a cute family thing but in the book it distracted me from the story. Luckily it was only in small sections.
Enemies to lovers. Bi-sexual representation. Open door.

Was off to a show start then picked up a bit before halfway through. I enjoyed it but wish there was slightly more focus on the main couple
Graphic: Sexual content
2.5 I do not see how Truly is 27. She was so very immature. I could handle that for some of the novel but the parent trap side story and honestly the ending took it down to 2.5.
