I really loved The Obstacle is the Way. It completely changed how I see challenges and obstacles, helping me to always look for the opportunities that come with them. The book is full of great examples and quotes that really hit home. I’ve already recommended it to friends, and I’ll definitely keep doing so.

The most inspiring book I've read in a while, or ever.

pretty good and sound advice! will probably give a reread

“See things for what they are.
Do what we can.
Endure and bear what we must.
What blocked the path is now the path.
What once impedes action advances action.
The obstacle is the way.”

This book. Wow. It’s like I’ve been shown a new way of thinking, like I’ve been sort of sleeping through life. I loved every second of this book. I never gave stoicism much thought- but reading this has completely changed my mindset. To live each day like it’s our last.
“Death doesn’t make life pointless, but rather purposeful.
Momento mori.
Amor fati.
C’est la vie.

What a way to live one’s life. I look forward to reading more by Ryan Holiday! Don’t hesitate. Read this book!!

aggressively average. definitely over hyped. all in all it’s a self help book that was not super helpful . it earned two bc i suppose there were a few things to think about but overall pretty useless.

Una muy buena introducción a la filosofía estoica.

Ryan Holiday knows how to write a self help book.
I found myself wanting to take notes from nearly every page, every passage, there was so much to take in from this book and so much to learn from.
There is an art form within upending obstacles and turning them into the best thing that ever happened to you and this book goes into so many examples of that. It’s brilliant. It’s a must read. It’ll be a re-read come a year or so.
