This book is to stoicism what "Rich Dad Poor Dad" is to personal finance. You'll learn more about conquering adversity watching The Karate Kid (or Cobra Kai).

This book talks about all the obstacles in your life that’s preventing you from getting to YOUR THING. My obstacles with getting enough study time is work and my girls. Because work and kids take ALL YOUR ENERGY AND TIME. Essentially life.

Simple and healthy reminders of our capabilities. It gets repetitive but maybe by design.

I've read this book probably eight times now. The first couple of times I would read and reflect on a sentence. Now I'm returning to the parts I've underlined from a previous reading.

Erg fraaie eerste helft, beetje tegenvallende tweede helft helaas

There's some good ideas in here.
Focus on solving problems in your life.
Focus on what you can control.
Focus on what you can do in the present moment.
Divide problems and do what you can at a time.

The usual advice you'll get in therapy.

But that's really about it. The majority of the book is fluff with anecdotes from random leaders, with useless advice like. "Control your emotions" "Do the right thing"
The whole section on action is just contradictions between "Keep going no matter what" and "Maybe sometimes you should give up". If you are gonna read this the first section on perception is enough.
