An eye for any eye rlly set the scene for the book. Even if it’s nots strictly part of the book I still loved it. Jude is quite frankly rude and selfish but hopefully he’ll die

Re-reading as an adult (as I never read all of the series only the first three)

This book is still as good as it was back then, could not put it down and read it in less than 24 hours

I found the characters in this one annoying so found it difficult to enjoy it as much as the first one. I'm hoping the next one picks up a bit.

So much of the book makes no sense. You could cut about a third of the story with no change. The characters act in ways that are confusing and they even seem surprised by themselves. It's a disappointing follow up
