I need a break, not because this book was bad in ANY way shape or form, but good grief it was depressing, and I do believe a great build up to the next one cause damn I have a feeling something is going to go down in the next one and I'm gonna save that for the spooky season!
It was rather jarring with the multiple POV in the beginning but after a while I didn't really notice, all I want from the next one is a POV from Mustang cause I'VE MISSED MY GIRL SO MUCH!

Multi POV was a difficult adjustment.
Did not really care about the characters. Which was disappointing because I was ready to love them and then be absolutely broken by what befell them. Instead, the only character I did love, was the one we are meant to hate: Appolonius.
Cassius is not dead. I know Brown's writing too well at this point to believe he's not got some trickery afoot.
I saw the situation with the Ash Lord coming from miles away and it felt anticlimactic.

Still very good but took a while to get into the thick of it with the different povs.
