I really loved this book! Classic Chick-Flick type romance vibes! Just what I needed between more intense books. I loved the poetic writing and the ways that Noah and Allie expressed their love!

So beautiful..
If only such things could happen in real life. The words feel so real that we can see the people in it.

Nicholas Spark really does know how to stir up emotions in people. Emotions unknown, kept hidden, long forgotten or simply not cared for.

Nicholas Sparks is slowly becoming one of my top favourite authors, and that's something because this is only the second book I have read by him.

His writing is beautiful and emotive, the characters he creates are enjoyable to read about and he explore different types of love, which is something I love. I love the idea of 'First love' in this story, and he tells it so beautifully through the characters of Noah and Allie that it was literally really hard to put down.

As you get nearer the end of the book, Sparks really knows how to tug on your heartstrings and you almost feel the heartbreak Noah experiences for yourself. I absolutely love Noah, he's creative and charming and just generally a sweet character. I like how at the end, cause it mentions in the book that Noah loves reading poetry but always struggled to write his own, however I felt when I got to the end section of the book, where both him and Allie are much older and in a care home, the way it's written in his point of view in this section makes it seem like he finally became a poet he always wanted to be. The narrative viewpoint written in that section is so beautiful and so emotive and creative, so it almost feels like Noah finally became a poet, even if he didn't literally write or publish anything.

I literally adore this book, and it's one that I will definitely read again. Fantastic.

Full of romance, tenderness, and beauty, The Notebook is one that cannot be put down.

Allie and Noah's relationship is one that everyone wants to strive for. It is pure magic; reading it makes me feel all happy inside. They held on to that single flame of love that they lost, and when they reunited that flame turned into a roaring fire, showing their love never went away, it was just put on pause for awhile.

This was a pretty short book, however it was the perfect length. There was so many details in the pages and the time period covered was only a weekend in the past and maybe a month in the present. I really liked this book, and I've already seen the movie and I wasn't disappointed at all. The movie followed the story for the most part which I am thankful for.

I would recommend this book as a summer read because of the length. I would also recommend it to people who are straight up romance because that is what this book is about. When I think Nicholas Sparks, this is what I think about and I'm so glad that it was as romantic as I pictured it would be.

Allie is a dick for stringing her fiancé along, her mom is a dick for being classist af and invading her Allie’s personal life. Noah and Lon are the only two decent characters and Lon isn’t even in the book much.
The good part of the book is Noah battling Allie’s Alzheimer’s. That made it worth reading.
Sparks is just so wordy…sigh.

EDIT: Actually Noah was with Allie knowing she’s married so you know what, no, not decent.
