I wanted to love this book because I adore SJM but this book was just ok. ACOTAR was only roped in to bring in more readers and were barely in the book. Too much walking through caves. I did, however, sit down and read it cover to cover in one day so it was interesting.

My least favorite in the series. A little tired of SJM at this point. This book felt 400 pages too long and could have easily wrapped up plot points and been a more enjoyable read if it were shorter.

I’m gonna have to give this book 3.5 ⭐️ instead of 4. Solely because I kinda hated Bryce in the first part of the book. The acotar crossover could’ve been everything, but I feel like Bryce made the wrong choice at every turn. Once I got past that, and some of the really cringey language (I don’t know why I noticed it more in this book than the other two), I liked the book! It was awesome seeing all the connections between all of SJM’s series. And SJM really knows how to tie all her loose threads up. I love how the complexities all get woven together perfectly at the end of all her books. SJM = queen of book climaxes
