ive never met a dystopian critique of the state i didn’t like! the only thing potentially more horrifying than the gore and vile was the peek into a teenage boys brain

I wanted to like this so much more than I did! The story is compelling and a fast read, but leaves out so much that would help--like why does the long walk happen. And what is the Prize. Just saying it is whatever they want makes it too vague and unreachable. The end was unsatisfactory as well
