Reread May 29th, 2016. I really like this one. I feel like the plot is finally getting a bit thicker.

I think that the series is starting to be very repetitive to me at least. This series is very predictable in it's formula and most of this book--did not need to happen, mainly because we learned nothing new in this book.

I really enjoyed my re read of this book, but it took me a little longer to get into? I love the twist with Esme and Count Olaf and also enjoyed all the elevator adventures. although sometimes i wanted to scream in frustration at the bauldalaires WHEN THEY WOULDNT JUST LISTEN ABOUT VFD! i also highly enjoyed the joke about the red herring, the pinstriped suits, and mr poe being put in charge of finding orphans even though he works at a bank. i would say this book was very in

I remember this being one of my favorites of the series back when I read these books in elementary school.

Such a fun re-read. I really love this series and I'm thankful for the opportunity to get to reread them in audiobook form! This one used to be a favorite of mine, but in this reread I feel like it was just a bit of filler to the next story. Still enjoyed it, of course!

One of my favourites so far. Looking forward to number 7!

For me, this book felt like filler. It's a transistion between the orphans just trying to get away from Olaf arc and the introduction into the search for the Quagmire triplets and the answers they hold. It felt really slow at points and at times it was easy to tune out and barely follow along. I still love all the absurdity in the books and the frustrating leads to absolutely no where. As for the guardians, Esmé irks me and Jerome disappoints me. I don't even understand how they are a couple.
