I love this series and Holly Jackson’s style of multimedia writing here. Listening to the audiobook was a treat because they are making a podcast and have different VAs do the different parts as Pip is interviewing people. The end felt a little random to me?? Like oh here’s the son of a prolific serial killer we know nothing about to tie it all together? It felt a little forced compared to the first book where the ending was also far fetched but made a lot more sense. I like when mysteries give me a CHANCE to figure it out, where I literally never could’ve guessed this. But I know some people prefer that in a mystery so it is what it is.

In retrospect, this is my least favorite book in the series. It also took the longest to read for me personally. The character development/deterioration was done so well, and the plot twist gave me whip lash.
