Him was such a fantastic surprise. It struck the perfect balance between plot, romance, steam, and thoughtful commentary on identity and acceptance. Jamie and Wes had amazing chemistry, and their journey from estranged friends to lovers felt both natural and emotionally satisfying.
The romance is full of tension, sweetness, and heat—seriously, the steam in this book is intense. But what made it stand out for me was how it explored sexuality and coming out without ever feeling heavy-handed. It gave space to the emotional realities of loving someone in a world that isn’t always kind, while still delivering a heartwarming and hopeful love story.
It was a little predictable in moments, which is why I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5, but overall I really enjoyed it and will absolutely be continuing with book two!
Just did a reread of this and it was just as good the second time as it was the first. I cannot get enough of Jamie and Wes, they are the best couple.
I just love the fact that they were both in love with each other but Jamie just didn't realize that it was more than friendship.
You can really feel for Wes and his guilt that he pushed for something he shouldn't have.
But in the end him getting everything he's ever wanted and thought he couldn't have is the best happy cry ever.
I will always reread this book ❤️

I loved this story. The chemistry between Jamie and Wes is electric, but their childhood friendship also makes for a very sweet and tender love story.
