Okay so my friend was like hey there is this series I heard about and it's like a bully romance with all smut you wanna read it? And I was like uhm duhh
And here we are
Lemme just say this book is a mess but there is good smut and the plot is sort of fun

⚠️Spoliers⚠️:
I don't like how we didn't see Sylvie at the end and honestly I don't like her
Monty is an angel
I hate the mother
The father was okay
I wanted to see Caroline girl
I sort of didn't like summers mom
I felt bad that Jonas died, he deserved better tbh

I wanted to love this book! - But it was just a NO from me.

Firstly, the book could be 300 pages less, there is barley any plot and 90% of the book is literally porn. Now i love a good bit of smut, but the main characters had no chemistry and i was over all this unrealistic sex they were having! Almost did not finish but glad it’s over.

Dear Monica, you got any more of these?
Because Man, I got hooked so bad.

This story, these characters, their behaviuor,... This was so addictive! My nose was stuck in this book from the first to last page.

Things I Wanted To Say (But Never Did) is very much a slow burn romance, one that just keeps building and building before things come to a head. And the rode to there is blazing with heat, angst and drama.

Frankly, I fell head over heels for these two irresistibly flawed characters. Cold, harsh, brutal Whit and guarded, tough and sincere Summer. These two were on another level. Trust me when I say this. The push and the pull, the way he was to her. The way he couldn't stay away! And their nasty parents with their lies and secrects, not seing further from their snobish noses...
There really isn’t much more I can say because of the spoilers. But I can tell you this: you have to read this. I was so impressed by it. In awe.

Fantastic storyline, cleverly delievered in a way that had me addicted. Forget about Gideon and Christian and look for Whit.

I completely understand why people might not like this book, but I loved it.

Warning: It is extremely smutty (and detailed), however, I appreciated this fact. The bully storyline is frustrating, but allows for significant character development, which made the book worth reading. Ultimately, it's clear that Whit's home life stunted his ability to appropriately process his emotions, so when he finally experienced something as juvenile as a schoolyard crush, he acted according to his emotional capabilities. I actually don't mind this character flaw of his, because it allowed Summer to recognize and deal with her struggles with her sexuality and former trauma.

I will say that the fact that it's set in a high school is my main problem with this book. I feel like the story could have been placed in a college context and the story wouldn't change much,
given that Whit's main obstacle was his lack of access to his trust fund, not his lack of freedom (something that a normal high schooler would have to deal with).

I think it's easy to dismiss this book based on the triggering content and the insane amount of sex scenes, but it's undeniably well written. Each character had clear motives, desires, and struggles. In comparison to the other books in the Lancaster Prep series, I felt that this one had more depth.

Overall, I liked reading this book a lot but, as I said before, it's definitely not for everyone. More than anything, I think had it been originally categorized as more of a dark romance, the reception of it would have been a lot more positive.

What the hell i thought this was a sad book not a written porn.
The first half was bad. He blackmailed her and made her into her booty call slash personal whore and she was okay with it wtf?
The second half was enjoyable.
This book is slightly better than a million kisses in your lifetime (it’s bad. I don’t like that book lol).

Wow. Couldn’t put this dark, twisty story down!

A dark and twisted relationship that starts with an awkward kiss at 14 continues for years….. and it’s one you simply can’t stop reading about. It gets more intense with every chapter. Rich boy bully Whit Lancaster and damaged, broken Summer Savage are most definitely not a match made in heaven. But. They light each other on fire…. And every page on fire! Talk about steamy sex scenes. Wow. This is very strange pairing. As much as Summer has a dark past that haunts her and she can’t compete with the rich kids at the prestigious prep school, she’s most certainly strong when she needs to be. And that’s what draws in the reader. This story is a slow build. The characters totally thought out and explained. Nothing is rushed.

Initially blackmailed into a sexual relationship with Whit, Summer has her inner strength and it’s pulling Whit in deeper emotionally. Pulling him close to her as much as he fights it. Summer even stands up to Whit’s rich family’s insults and degrading words. What starts as a bullying, blackmailing, dominant relationship in prep school, matures over time and distance and becomes more than either Whit or Summer can control. And do they really want to? This is a dark, erotic read. It’s intense with an ending we readers earned….. and deserve. Stunning storytelling.
