I'm giving this a 3 because I felt like it was a decent story but it was so long... I found myself yelling at Summer so many time throughout this book.. She was literally a doormat for Whit...From the time they met up until damn near the end... I was glad Whit didn't believe his mama when she kicked Summer out the house and I was glad when she cut all communication with Whit after what his family did to her ( even though it wasn't his fault) She needed that time alone to get herself together.. And Whit needed that time to get all his family drama under control... I wish we could have seen Summer and her Mom work on their relationship.
this book was okay in its entirety. if you are wanting a lot of smut, and a really long slow burn that climax at 90%, this is for you.
Wow. This book absolutely blew my mind. The PERFECT bully x private school romance. Whit and Summer are MY FAVORITES. I loved reading their story so much. Monica KILLED it with this one omgomgomg
This was well written, but I felt like it dragged. After a while I found myself skipping through the sex scenes. They were constant. It just became too much. I enjoyed it enough to want to continue the series. Want to find out what happens to the rest of the Landcasters.
CWs include: SA, slut shaming, the FMC’s surname being a slur, victim blaming (of an SA victim who was a minor at the time, no less), no discussion of protection or STIs (besides the MMC stating that he could transmit one to the FMC, after the fact, then still proceeding regardless because she’s on the pill later on).
But it’s okay because while the MMC can bully, use, and degrade the FMC, but, by his own admission, the men MMC’s sister dates must be of a higher caliber and treat her right. That he wouldn’t stand for her to be treated in the same manner.
Oh, and the FMC can’t pursue her dreams in Paris because now the MMC needs to claim her and make her his wife. After she had only started making her own choices and by both their admission, wouldn’t want to see him, so he had her one friend assist him in ambushing her.
Horrible writing and a book with minor characters exemplifying the statement “porn isn’t real”.
This was Rina Kent all over again.

Do not fool yourself. This book is garbage. But it's reality tv kinda garbage that rots the brain but you still watch it. It gets 3* for its smut that's all. The writing is God awful
One of my favorite reads thus far. Gives rina Kent with non con vibes and i loved it and although it was long I never though it was too long! Liked it a lot more than a million kisses in your lifetime…mostly because the taboo of sex and her virginity wasn’t brought up at all THANK GOD. Anyways 4.5 stars fr and whit is going to be the name of my first kid!! Also one of my favorite book boyfriends thus far. Alsoooo like 90% smut which was suprising
sex. sex. sex. and more sex. that’s all they did the whole book it felt like and I never felt a romantic connection between them they were just drawn to each others bodies.
