It was great at the beginning. Maybe. But a cute epilogue and sex on every second page won't fix how immature these characters are. Like bro, wtf... I can't even find the words. Like, we get it, they're both sick. I don't need a reminder on every second page thank you. "you asked for it" NO. BIG NO. And the Sylvie trope??? Wth. Like, just no.
I’m a sucker for a more romantic tender kind of book and this was anything but that, Atleast until the end
They were drawn to eachother sexually which I something I can’t relate to but still found it very interesting to read about
The way that they couldn’t stay away from eachother felt so right for their characters and what they had been through in life
I do believe they were destined for eachother like they said they were

I am IN LOVE with the Lancaster men and Whit is no exception. If you like bully romances, which I know aren't everyone's cup of tea, you'll love this book!! Whit is mean but he's SO obsessed with Summer. Whit is a rich, possessive bad boy who's made it his mission to make Summers life hell at school. My favorite thing about Summer is that she doesn't back down from Whit and she likes a lot of what he gives. This book is a lot darker than "A Million Kisses In Your Lifetime" but both are so amazing!!
There is just something that completely captivated me into Whit and Summer’s world. From the very first page to that last, I was devouring every word and couldn’t get enough. Two people with darkness all around them, inside of them, who hate each other, find themselves undeniably drawn together. Unexplainable, unwanted, but no idea how to stop. Toxic, sexy, degrading, passionate, unbelievable chemistry. I never wanted it to end.
“Let me go,” I say through clenched teeth, struggling a little. I think he likes it. I sort of like it too. His strength. How I’m too weak to break free. What does this say about me? I’m sick. Twisted. Weird. I’ve always had a what I call ‘the darkness.’ I’ve never met someone who acts like he has it too.”
“I don’t trust her. Something about her sets me on edge. But, of course, I don’t trust anyone. Not anymore. Once you’ve been burned so many times, it’s hard to let down your guard.”
“Do I scare you?” he whispers. Deciding to be truthful, I nod. “Good,” he breathes across my lips, his mouth so close to mine, I can feel it more when he talks. “Because you scare me too.”
“Stay quiet,” he demands. I do my best to obey. But oh God, it’s so difficult. His mouth is the finest torture I’ve ever experienced.”
“I wanted to make her hurt, because I was in pain and no one saw it. No one ever sees it.”
“I’d rather have him be mean toward me than act like I don’t matter to him. Ambivalence is the worst feeling you could ever have for someone, and i tuning that’s what Whit has for me. It’s awful.”
“I’ve owned you since you were fourteen,” he whispers, his voice dark. Stirring up all the dark things buried deep inside of me. “You’ve been in my head ever since that night, you know. Haunting me. No one else could ever measure up.”

This book is dark, so if you have any triggers I would be careful. But I thought the story was good, I’m still not sure if I like Whit. I felt like his character was very flawed but I didn’t find any redeeming qualities. I did like that they both give each other space to grow. At the end of the day Whit and Summer were meant to be together, so I’m glad they got their HEA. I think I want to move on to Carolina’s story and skip the other books in the series which is totally fine, since they are stand alones!

I'm sorry this book was just bad. 90% of this book is just smut, which is really good, but there is no emotional or any connection.
■ Whit stole Summers' diary, and then he actually read the whole thing. See if he had just blackmailed her without reading it, or reading a few entries, I'd be okay. But he just ignored her privacy totally. I would've liked it if Summer actually told him, her secrets when she would have been comfortable sharing them.
■ Summer is abused by her stepbrother, and that's it. There's no discussion about it, no showing how Summer actually felt. Whit knows this but he's like sorry about that, but let's have sex.
■ There is literally so much slut shaming in this book because of the clothes and makeup people are wearing.
■ Whit doesn't care about anyone. When Summer was getting almost raped, he beat the guy. But then after, he just blamed her because of the clothes she was wearing.
■ I'm sorry but Summer doesn't have any self-respect. I understand the need for humiliation and domination. I even understand a little possessiveness, but there was actually a scene where
two guys were referring to her as a toy, a doll and she just stood there.
■ She also is a hypocrite. She said that she didn't wanna follow in her mom's footsteps, and doesn't wanna be dependent on a man. I liked that. But the next second, she wants a collar, that tells the world that someone owns her.
■ We see a little character development in Whit after the 16 months they were apart. But it was just like 16 months later, show us how? when? explain. The guy's attitude changes in just another page, we don't actually see it happening.
