2.5 mid, wasnt a fan of whit, didnt have much going for him
i didn’t like this one bit but i ate it up bc it’s what i needed to read (wattpad type of story that i just giggle or gasp at bc it’s fun) ! but i will say it was quite disturbing like yucky and loads of tw needed. she needs therapy, he needs like… idk therapy too. that’s a common theme w these romances.

TW: sexual assault, rape, slut shaming, abuse, toxic relationships, toxic family members.
To say this was a waste of time would be an understatement. I was so frustrated with this book; there is no development or redeeming qualities or anything, just sex scenes and people abusing each other. Instead of having actual conversations the leads ended up having sex over and over again until suddenly they were like “this must be love”
The worst part about his is how this book handles the heroine’s sexual assault and rape (mind you this happens several times in the book) which is to say she really doesn’t...says she’s damaged because of it, that she was looking for it, etc. And then from one moment on that plot line is forgotten. Oh and the hero upon learning she has been raped and assaulted since she was a child was like “well, whatever” This story could have been an opportunity to examine how her first sexual experiences colored her view of sex and why she liked being humiliated and the difference between consensual rough sex and assault, but alas, this wasn’t it.
I’ll stop now because the longer I think about it the angrier I get.

Wow! Monica you have outdone yourself! Things I Wanted To Say is your best work yet. Amazing job!
Whit and Summer’s story was a pleasant surprise. The tension and intense chemistry was strong and I loved it. I couldn’t get enough of these two. Whit’s dirty mouth and intense persona was a perfect match for strong willed Summer. Just the right amount of steam and drama. Highly recommend!!
