Una novela que plantea un imaginario interesante de dioses antiguos mezclados con los dioses creados por los hombres; llenos de ambigüedad, egoístas y, finalmente, también frágiles y luchando por su supervivencia. Los personajes que se esbozan en la novela tienen todos encanto y el tour de force final es tremendo. Es cierto que no es una novela para todos los públicos y cuyo desarrollo es muy lento, pero es de agradecer ver cómo todo acaba encajando.
Me he quedado con las ganas de conocer un poco más a todo el elenco de personajes que aparecen y que acaban sólo bocetados para dar paso al avance de la trama, pero es una novela que me ha gustado mucho y no decepciona.

I'm reminded of how the Greek gods were explained to a young me: they're not all-wise, all-powerful, or even virtuous. They have all the follies and vices of mankind, played out at grand scale.
I like what the author did with the gods, here. They still quarrel and scheme in the modern day, they still draw on immense metaphysical power, but they're has-beens, and mankind barely cares. They only have your pity. It's wonderful.

I finally started reading this because I was reminded that the Starz TV show was about to start.
I know I've said it before about so many books, but I cannot believe I put this book off for so long! o_O I'm just dead! This book was fantastic and wonderful and vile and horrible and incredible and just so much yes all at once!

Thought Provoking
I really enjoyed American Gods. I loved all the mythology tied in and the trips across America. Gaiman has given me interesting things to ponder regarding religion, worship and politics. I think I will be contemplating this story for a while.

Aunque hay partes que no me han acabado de convencer, en general es una muy buena novela, super bien tramada (en el sentido de que está bien estructurada) y que se deja leer muy bien.
I left the book in an office on accident and the next day it was gone forever. I think it was a sign from God to stop putting myself through the dialogue in the book.
