This book consumed my thoughts for a few days. It's not anything super unique but I really enjoyed the writing, banter, story etc. Some parts are fairly predictable which is fine with me. Can't wait to keep going in the series. Also excited to have a completed trilogy to read 🙌

The writing isn't quite the same level as some of the other books I enjoy. I feel like there's areas where I'm left with questions, but other areas that are super developed/detailed and at times it's a little hard to follow.

I really liked the potential this book had. It has a very great storyline but feel it was not executed as well as it could've been. The FMC was half badass/half doormat. She has many times where I was like YEAH GIRL!! But then other times where I was thinking she could've stuck up for herself. I did not like how this is a fantasy book but the fae have practically no powers at all. They are practically human aside from their heightened senses, pointed ears, and long lifespans. The writing was meh, the enemies to lovers trope was too quick and the spiciness was like a 2 and very fast paced. I am currently reading the second book and it is so much better than the first I will say!
