The audiobook is amazing! My newest favorite book. The way the narrator says "chatty girl" just slays me. Highly recommended. Very funny, very hot.

I liked this book. I also liked the fact that Gabriel practiced self restraint and delayed gratification for so long to the point where it was near the end and there was no spice and I was starting to fear that there would be no payoff. I was wrong. The payoff was great and the back third of the book is spice heavy, which is okay to be honest.

I liked this one more than Idol, the first one in this series.

I enjoy Kristen Callihan as an author and I enjoy the world she is creating with these characters!

Also, I really, really, really enjoy Sophie. I love that she tortures Gabriel. I love that she doesn't really care what anyone thinks of her.

Sunshine and Chatty Girl were really freaking cute throughout the book and I love their glorious, drawn out, angst filled build up.

dnf at like 90% because i got bored. it was alright, cute at some parts and generally entertaining. pacing was a little weird and their relationship was very .. shallow. like it was hard to find their emotional connection with each other (it was almost one sided tbh). they were both attracted to each other which made it hot i guess and i read almost all of the book since i had nothing else to do but yeah it was just fine and i didn't mind not finishing it since the plot was pretty much nonexistent. the shit with the band and all of that was sometimes too much drama and kinda unnecessary. not what i wanted at the moment but it was fine enough to pass time with, just not enough for me to be hooked enough to finish it. loved the fact that the main was part filipino which is something that means a lot to me and is the first time ive ever read about my nationality being mentioned and stuff lol.

This second installment of the VIP series was highly entertaining. I really enjoyed the story and interactions between H/h and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

2/28/2022 - I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a good job.
