5 Scottie Stars!!!
I loved this book! A laugh out loud ride that I am truly sad to finish. GIVE ME MORE! The first book Idol had me hooked, and I was so excited to read about Scottie. This second installment did not disappoint. I loved it even MORE! We got to see more of the band and Scottie and Sophie's story.
The first time these two meet is simply hilarious!
....“Are you quite well?” he intones, as if he thinks the opposite.
“No, you’ve nearly rendered me blind.” I flap a hand. “Do you have an off switch? Maybe put it on low?”
His nostrils flare, his skin going a shade darker. “Lovely. I’m stuck next to a mad woman.”
“Don’t tell me you’re unaware of the dazzling effect you have on the world.”
--
...“Wow.” I give a dreamy sigh. “It’s even worse when you smile. You really should come with a warning, sunshine.”
If you liked Idol, you must read Managed RIGHT NOW!!!
A great big thank you for such a fun read!!

Gabriel and Sophie were great. Sometimes his inner monologue was a bit 'female', but I got past it. Sophie was a whippersnapper and was able to keep up with the stuffy Brit. I hope we get more stories about Kill John. Really enjoyed this one.
oh my god this was so good- grumpy/sunshine? a slow burn romance? enough wit, banter and chemistry to keep me laughing and swooning the whole way through?
man, i thought killian and libby had a cute story but gabriel and sophie have taken over. these two work so well together i can't get over it. their relationship developed so well, and miss callihan did such a good job writing a slow burn - they didn't get any action till 70% of the way through but the lead up and tension was so good; it was just written beautifully.
gabriel scott is my little cinammon roll. he's so god damn adorable. his protectiveness over sophie, not being able to sleep without her (i melt every time i think about that-) and the way she infuriated him to no end yet he loved it anyway was so good.
miss sophie darling was also no exception. she was witty, she was fierce, and she took crap from absolutely no one. not even my baby scottie. i respected her for walking out when she did even though she loved him so much.
^please i read this and died-
even the side characters were amazing. killian, libby, rye, whip and brenna all had beautiful moments and character building and it really felt like a found family. and when gabriel finally let them in? please i was melting-
^their banter is top notch i cannot deal with this.
anyway, scottie and sophie are up there with my fave couples of this year. and the next book is about jax??? boy i am readyyyy-
5 well-deserved stars! read this book!
“You are my greatest weakness because I have no defence when it comes to you.”

“I stare at him, unwilling to hide my hurt. “You hate me?”
He blinks as if trying to break out of a fog. Color tints his cheeks, and his breath kicks up one more. “I think,” he says, “adore would be the better word.”

“Jesus,” I blurt out, lifting my hand as if to shield my eyes. “It’s like looking into the sun.” “What?”
“Just stop, will you?” I squint at him. “You’re too hot. It’s too much to take.”

I haven't been able to enjoy any book for a while now and this one seems to have broken that spell. Gabriel is reticent, cold, snobbish but really cool when I get to know him. I sound like i am involved with him. Sophie is chatty and speaks her mind which is really funny when the two come together. You get to enjoy the book and try to ignore the spelling mistakes. cool stuff
Some of this plot was ridiculous but I liked the characters so much it didn't matter.

This is a highly bingeable read and I want to shoutout both Kristin and Gigi for telling me to read it because I wouldn't have otherwise. There really isn't much to be said for this that hasn't been said before. But... you should read this. I adored Gabriel Scott from page one. He is a grumpy, SBD, with severe control issues and no ability to emote. It is a delight to read! I also adored the human sunshine that is Sophie.
**spoiler**
I am not convinced that Sophie deserved the grand gesture... I mean... she was being an immature wench and just.... like... what? You kept a secret and now he is mad... All you, babes.
**end spoiler**
Anyways... I love Gabriel.

3 stars for cuteness
But I mean some of the cringey dialogue was too much.
Also Gabriel spoke like a caricature of upper class London boy. And some of the stuff he said was just odd.
'Taking a piss' instead of taking the piss, for example.
And he wouldn't say 'bloody' that often unless he was a middle aged man. At some point (especially when he's angry etc) he would have swore up a storm.
