Assez déçu de ça livre qui se lit très vite mais où il ne se passe littéralement rien.
L’histoire d’amour est inexistante et arrive dans les dernières scènes.
Sinon le personnage d’Anna m’a beaucoup plus !
Se lit très bien et très vite, je suis restée accrocher seulement parce que ça m’a rappelé des vibes à la Downtown Abbey.

I liked it less than the first time.This probably has to do with the fact that Anne and Wentworth have so few exchanges in the whole book.
The romantic story is never at the center of Austen’s books. However, it is built up across the storyline. And yes, Anne and Wentworth knew each other already and thus did not need to be acquainted. But to get where they get at the end of Persuasion, 8 years later, you’d need more than a few glances and sentences exchanged.
That said, Persuasion is read in no time.
The rest of characters are, as usual, described with wit and the dialogues are *chef’s kiss*.

و باز مثل همیشه جین آستین نا امیدم نکرد!
احتمالا اگه کتاب رو با خوش‌خیالی و کمال‌طلبی ۱۶، ۱۷ سالگی خونده بودم به اندازه‌ی الان ازش لذت نمیبردم ولی ۲ هفته قبل ۲۲ سالگی زمان کاملا مناسب برای خوندن این کتاب بود.
داستان تلخ و شیرین رو با هم داشت.
ان شخصیتی بود که احتمالا الینور یا الیزابت با گذر زمان و افزایش تجربه بهش تبدیل میشدن.
سه چهارم اولیه‌ی کتاب متفاوت بود با تمام کتاب‌های دیگه‌ی آستین. "ان" شخصیت اصلی داستان برخلاف اما، الیزابت، الینور و ... آدمی بود که در ۲۸ سالگی(!)چون ازدواج نکرده بود و یا فرزند ارشد نبود، تقریبا داشت محو میشد. تقریبا هیچ کس "ان" رو نمیدید یا نظرش براش اهمیتی نداشت. نه خانواده بهش توجه و مهری داشت و نه جامعه قدر ذکاوت و مهربانیش رو میدونست. تو این داستان حتی خبری از پشتیبانی خواهری دلسوز یا پدر و مادری عاقل یا حداقل مهربان و غمخوار نبود. همین‌ها و اینکه هیچ راه فراری طبق جامعه‌ی اون زمان برای "ان" نبود، باعث میشد آدم خیلی متاسف و ناراحت بشه.
مدام فکر اینکه اگه داستان این پایان خوش رو نداشت چه بر سر "ان" میومد تو ذهنم رژه میره.
یک چهارم آخر کتاب اما باز خیلی شبیه ماجرای ویکهام یا ویلوبی بود فقط با این فرق که بار گناهان آقای الیوت کمتر بود.

Persuasion is still one of my favourite of Austen’s novels. I really like Ann as a main character, and the narrative is one I find quite memorable.
