Not my favourite of Austen's books but I did like it. Bit predictable except for mister Elliot's past. I did confuse the characters a great deal at some point or other, but that's probably because it took me a while to get through this audio book.

Jane Austen is always 50% funnier than I remember her to be. Also like how Anne is kind of a wallflower but you can feel her rolling her eyes at her silly family, and she's a strong and competent in a quiet way.
Something I particularly liked in this book was how important friendships and community are to the main couple. Anne loves Wentworth for himself, but it seems like she's really done for when she meets all his friends and family and realizes how many awesome people he's surrounded himself with. And I like the detail of Wentworth helping her friend Mrs. Smith out at the end of the book, it showed that he and Anne are not only devoted to each other but also to each other's loved ones.
