Speaks truly, honestly towards individual's dominant love language, as well as ways we give, receive, and hold onto love in the most sincere way.
I appreciate learning about the love languages and how they can be applied - I do think it's useful in most relationships. However, the fact that this book was written 30 plus years ago, along with the fact that it's written from a religious point of view kinda put me off a bit.
The concept is great. I like the idea of the 5 Love Languages. I just found the context of the book to be a little out of touch with modern relationships.

I live this book
I think I read this too fast, but this book was wonderful. It gives you insight in to yourself but also those around you. I am in a very satisfying relationship, but I started trying some of the techniques it suggested and I noticed a difference! Will read again and have already suggested it to several people!

Anyone in a long term relationship needs to read this book.
4.75/5
I think in general this book and its content are revolutionary. Knowing the love language of your peers and partners is vital; thus, I see this book as essential to read for anyone. My one criticism would be that the author does not explain in more detail on how to discover your own love language.

I'm giving this book 5 stars not because it was the kind of book that keeps you glued to your seat, but because I believe in his theory of the 5 love languages. It is a great concept and could help so many people. I'm not married, but I believe this book could be universal in our relationships and in how we show love to those we care about.
