I LOVED THIS. BUT This is the first time I’ve ever felt like an audiobook was not the right format. This is a GORGEOUS book that belongs in physical format, I want to pick up a copy and keep it on my coffee table for everyone to enjoy!!!

a gorgeous read. slow-paced but it feels intentional, like something you’re meant to drink in instead of devour or consume. this is a book i think i’ll come back to when i feel crushed by the weight of the modern world and need a gentle reminder of our purpose and place in it alongside its natural inhabitants.

I listened to this one rather than reading and I think it was particularly suited to listening as the essay format allowed me to come in and out without losing a plot.  
What a wonderful loving woman!  She doesn't sugarcoat what is happening to our environment while taking joy in what is left.
