good. it's like the Reef in some ways, being that the two main character were in love before, but one hurt the other. It turned out good in the ending through. It was a good book and i'm glad i bought, even thought it took me that longest time to read it.

Strong women. Powerful suspense. Accidentally ended up reading this book and now it has become really really dear to me. Aren't these the best kind of books♥♥ Maybe I can try some more books of her?!

even though it is River's End meets Montana Sky, there was enough of something within the story to keep me interested to the end.

I wasn't thrilled with the way the Indigenous rep showed up in this book; the antagonist bastardized the culture and the heroine vaguely leverages a heritage that only appears when it's convenient for the narrative. So that diminished how I felt about the book overall. I also struggled a bit with Cooper as a viable hero because the relationship felt splattered with red flags. The setting and Lil's character development around wildlife rescue were the highlights of the read for me though.
