great mystery!

This book was great- kept me on my toes, I had so many theories about what the ending would be and though I had some suspicion, I didn’t have the full picture figured out!

If you read my reviews, by now you know thrillers are my go-to genre of reading.

I picked this up because I needed a fast paced book to get me out of a near reading slump.

While it wasn't as edge of the seat or fast paced as I hoped for, it did meet the mark.

The ending especially left me smiling and I am gals at how the story unfolds.

I. Loved. This. Book. When you think you know what's happening, spin it 180. Jaw dropping turns. Splits of character views with every chapter. It had me invested the whole book! Sometimes books are ruined by the endings, nope! This one checks out all the way through! We see the book through Kit (the maid's) diary, Daisy, Jon, and the police detective Mal as well as a couple others along the way. It helps piece together, shred apart and rearrange the story so you see the whole picture. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed this book… it kept me on my toes! A few things were a bit predictable… but a really good quick read thriller!

Man I really wanted to love this book. I definitely enjoyed most of it, I just wanted it to end differently.

4.5 stars. Holy shitballs that was phenomenal. I haven't read a psyche thriller that good in a long, long time. My jaw DROPPED. I didn't see any of the (many and wonderful) twists or revelations coming at all. The way the author put the pieces together was near magical. Outstanding. Will eagerly read more by this author.

Included with Kindle Unlimited; I did audio.

This line at the end of the book nearly earned it a very rare 5-stars (note: I reserve 5-stars for books I think everyone should read)

“Why should we always understand our abuser, the villains, the mendacity of evil, the people who let us down? Does understanding help us heal? I don’t think anything really heals trauma. You just find some narrative to cohabitate with”
