My religious aversion is not happy atm (very triggered if you will) to continue reading this. Nothing negative about the writing or story itself. It's just not for me rn. Maybe in the future 🖤
too much to say about this one!!!!!! emotionally ripe, deeply fucking sad, beautifully clever; such an ambitious story to take on & be able to do so well. so many glutinous themes to get your hands on!! i have some complaints in the character work or things just being a bit cleaner but the core of the novel is so strong that it didn’t really affect much. i love things that push our moral compasses. i love things that are unapologetic in that. GODDDDDDDDD SO GOOD
Lost a star only because in the latter half the thought and dialogue parts kept me confused lol
but, onto the real review:
lucifer is crazy. but you have to wonder, is it nature vs nuture? God made him with the intention for him to end up that way but had luci not experienced those punishments that tipped the scale, would he still have fallen? If he had not loved Michael, would he have still fallen?
I'm wagering between a heavy yes and a 10% no. We get told that luci was made as temptation- is this why he was gods favourite? because nobody can resist temptation? I'd love to sit and analyse the biblical references and the storyline of this book. the concept was wonderful and Luci's portrayed was interesting to say the least
