I will be thinking about this book for a very long time. This was a horrible, heartbreaking, sickening masterpiece.

Tragedy romance is now my villain origin story.

I will PREFACE this review by saying that I thought I was reading a completely different book. I thought I was reading a book about and angel who fell, then falls in love with a priest. That's what I signed up for. So, for the entire book. I was just like "Hey, when are they going to go to Earth, haha" and whenever Earth was mentioned I was like "Yessss now the REAL plot is starting" It wasn't until I got LITERALLY OVER HALFWAY THROUGH, that I was like "Hmmmmm I may be thinking of a different book." And reader, I was.

The book I WANTED to read was called "Mercy" and I think it would've been a much better book than whatever this book was. I think there were a lot of really well written passages. It was really well put together, I can't deny that. However, I think I either know too MUCH about the Christian religion, or not enough. Because, hey, aren't all angels, brothers? Are they not all, related, one would say, in the eyes of God? His almighty lord? Why are they, falling in "love"? And why was Lucifer, little Luci, such a LOSERRRRRR "I invented the word sin" okay well you're embarrassing yourself. AND WHY DID HE FALL IN LOVE WITH MICHAELLLL. I'VE SAID IT ONCE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAINNNN ARE THEY NOT BROTHERS???? The entire time I was like, hey. What's going on. The ENTIRE time they were like "Okay brother, young brother, little brother, young brother Lucifer" LIKE WHAT AM I READINGGGGGG. I can't do this any more. This was a bunch of poetic language strung together for fanfiction about the bible and HONESTLY? Let's maybe just leave the bible art to the Renaissance okay <3. This book just made me uncomfortable.

I dont need 3 pages describing how delicious the grapes lucifer is eating are

i love the journey of reading about an angel who was very much loved by God, became loved by everyone, learned to love himself he began to stray from the teachings of his creator, and ultimately became so corrupted and immoral after moments of feeling forsaken (and loving himself too much and became too prideful to the point he felt more powerful than god).
slow-paced

This should never in a million years be called "cozy" in any way somebody fix that deranged ai summary🤣
