This wasn't a completely amazing essay but I loved it. I think everyone should read this (its like 50 pages on ebook and it took me 20mins to read) because it gets to the point of feminism in a basic way thats easy to understand.
The part about how a woman was gang r*ped and everyone thought "oh r*pe is wrong but what was she doing with 4 men in the first place?" is ridiculous. It reminded me of how everyone ignores the main issue and jumps to blame the woman and it made me really annoyed because of how messed up their line of thinking is. Especially how a lot of people don't know the literal meaning of the word "feminist".
Seriously everyone needs to read this.

Absolutely positively such a remarkable essay. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Can’t wait to read more from her!

First and foremost, I have not watched the TED talk. I read this because of the hype surrounding it a while ago.

Because of this hype, I’m disappointed after reading it. Perhaps I am not the intended reader, since I have identified as a feminist for the past 15+ years. I finished this feeling like the essay skimmed the surface, and thinking “that’s it?”

My library has this in the young adult section. I hope young women come across this essay, read it, and begin a deep dive into feminism.

A great narrative essay relating personal experiences to modern day feminism. Would recommend to all.

If you are familiar with feminism much of this is the same, however, this is a beautifully written essay from a Nigerian author that clarifies person behind the view. Excellent read for Manny. Do yourself a favor and listen to the author read it. She brings warmth, charm, and her personal experience to the book beautifully.

Brilliant speech, that opens the door to so many fundamental feminist themes
