"The boys had seized the cave, and in it they'd found a home away from Welton, away from parents, teachers, and friends - a place where they could be people they never dreamed they'd be."

Although this was basically a transcript from the movie, it still managed to be touching and as beautiful as the picture. However, I was hoping that the book would maybe add a bit more to the book, such as describe more of the boys' feelings. Despite that, it was a great read, I'm just sad it was very short.

What a marvellous story! I just love Mr Keating as a teacher and his overly romantic view of poetry

The movie absolutely lives in my head rent-free. I can always rewatch Todd and Neil anytime, absolutely anytime. The end can still make me sob ngl.

How they address women in the book is a bit upsetting to read at some parts, but overall accurate to how teenage boys would act. Just seems a bit like they’re enabling this behavior with how it’s written. Other than that the story and characters were quite enjoyable.
