Jolie was sold and bought by villie because his son has multiple personalities disorder and one of his personality needs a way to unleash his demons. When she falls for one of his personality needs a named Woodrow it’s too late to stop. Please check your triggers !!!!!!!!!
I don’t know. Part of me thinks it was almost too dark. But no specific scenes really bothered me. I guess it was just the cumulative effect of so much darkness without any reprieve except for sex. I just wasn’t ever in a good place while reading it and found myself dreading picking it up. I’ve been reading it for almost a month and that never happens. I’ve read 3 other books during that time out of avoidance of this. I want to finish it but it’s just time.

I have such mixed feelings about this book.
To begin with, CHECK ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS BOOK. If there is a red flag as a book, this is it. It contains every single triggering trope you could think of, and that’s part of the reason why I have mixed feelings about the read. I love a good dark romance, I read a lot of them… but at times this one felt like the author just included every trigger to make it more sensational without it really being needed to add to the storyline. The book also felt incredibly long, with a lot of it being repetitive and imo could have easily been cut down without losing the main storyline
On the positive side, I will say, this story’s ending had a twist I did not see coming and because of that my rating is slightly better than neutral.
If you’re looking for a pitch black, the darkest concepts out there read, then this is the story for you.

Umm
This story is ALOT! Please read the triggers! I went in blind and not was this hard to read! Triggers don't bother me but this book had so many and it was hard to read at times to the point of having to stop and walk away for a minute. Mainly to stop the sobbing this book created. The ending though confused the he'll out of me. I might have to go back and read the last chapter again.

This book was so heart breaking to read. This was pitch black, I wasn’t prepared for all the on page stuff. I knew the triggers going into this and it still didn’t prepare me for what I read. It was a lot to keep up with the three alters and Jolie between the past and present. I think the two MCs love each other, but they are heavily connected by trauma and shared trauma. The last few chapters threw me for a loop. All those “present day” chapters was her daydreaming because she thought he passed away in the fire. He never came looking for her and never went to prison. That was an unexpected and unnecessary twist after we thought he passed away from cancer. I have so many thoughts about this book. I skimmed the last 40 ish percent of the book. I feel so lied to right now. Did Nessie have to suffer too? I think that was uncalled for. The parents were absolute disgusting people, I can’t believe Wynter went through a similar experience and was able to do those things to Jolie. Ville, absolute scum of the earth.
Didn’t connect with the character. Didn’t like the writing style. Chapters are too long.
